Just when you thought receiving your Princess Polly order couldn’t get any better...recyclable bags entered the chat.
Getting your new clothes safely to your door while minimizing their environmental impact is a big yes, which is why we’ve made the switch to 100% recyclable packaging! Our previously compostable bags were fab, but with your feedback we’ve recognised that recyclable bags are much easier for you to dispose of correctly. Being an environmental queen should be easy, so... we've made it easy!
The Pros of Recyclable Packaging
It’s easier for you and it’s better for the planet.
Along with soft plastic recycling bins being far more accessible than compost bins, our new packaging uses 74% less emissions than virgin plastic (which is INCRED). Using recyclable materials also helps ensure the safety of your package as it is more durable than our previously compostable bags. Plus, once you recycle your bag, you’re promoting the circularity of waste that can be used again and again and again and...you get the idea.
How to Recycle Your Bag
After you open your package and try on your new ‘fit, you’ll have the mailer bag and transparent garment bag leftover (unless placing a return or exchange, then back in the post it goes!).
Set these aside for the next time you head to your local supermarket! Soft plastic recycling collections are typically located here, so you don’t have to go out of your way to do what’s right for the planet.

The return cards and swing tags you receive in your order can be placed in your regular at-home recycling bin. Plus, some US states collect your soft plastics from your regular bin as well! Take a look at your local government website to find out.

By returning these bags to your local supermarket and placing them in the soft plastic bin, you’re helping circulate waste that would have otherwise ended up polluting our planet. This is an important step in our journey to sustainability and we need your help to do it.
As we make the switch to 100% recyclable packaging, you may still receive a compostable bag in your order. We’re just using up the bags we’ve already created, so nothing goes to waste! Pop these bags into a compost bin and watch it turn into worm food.
